1. Isaac WILLCOCKSON1 was born about 1727 in Pennsylvania. He died on September 11, 1769 in Rowan Co., N. C.. He was buried in September 1769 in Joppa Graveyard, Davie County, North Carolina.

Isaac Willcockson is thought to be a brother of George Willcockson and John Willcockson, Sr. Hannah Wilcox (or Willcocks) is thought to be a sister of John, Isaac and George Willcockson. She married Daniel Lewis. He died in Berks County, Pennsylvania, but she and her children came to Rowan County, North Carolina with the other Willcocksons.

Witnessed a deed in Anson County, North Carolina October 13, 1750. Rowan County was formed from Anson County in 1753.
December 21, 1761; Granville to Isaac Wilcoxson for 10 shilling sterling, 320 acres on Hunting Creek and Long Branch. Proved July Court 1762.
October 9, 1765; Rowan County, North Carolina Court Orders---_______ Willcock, the widow of Isaac Willcocks and Geroge Wilcox to administer the estate of Isaac Wilcox, deceased.
Rowan County, North Carolina, Court Minutes: August 16, 1770. The estate of Isaac Willcockson to Eadry Willcockson and George Willcockson signed by Geo. Willcocks and Edrew Busey. Amount, 178.2.9 sterling. (This is probably his 2nd wife Edith Philpot, who, after Isaac's death, married Matthew Busey.)
In Rowan County, North Carolina, court February 12, 1771, William, Martha, and Daniel Willcockson, minor orphans of Isaac Willcockson, deceased, chose Isaac Willcockson as their guardian. George Willcockson signed the guardianship bond with Isaac Willcockson.
In Rowan County, North Carolina, the 1772 tax list of William Sharp (that included western Davie County) contains these names: Isaac Wilcox & Wm. Wilcox 2 taxables, David Jones and Danl Wilcox 2 taxables, Geo. Wilcox 1 taxable.
Burial site is also known as the Joppa Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Another source gives the following information for Isaac Willcockson; born in Pennsylvania, 1724; married in Pennsylvania in 1747, Martha Bane, and removed to Rowan County, North Carolina. He died in 1766 at the age of 42 and she died ca. 1757 at age 30. He Married second Edith Philpot 1758/59.






Isaac WILLCOCKSON and Martha BANE were married about 1747 in Pennsylvania. Martha BANE1 was born about 1727 in Pennsylvania. She died on September 9, 1757. She was buried in September 1757 in Joppa Graveyard, Davie Co., N. C..

Isaac WILLCOCKSON and Edith PHILPOT were married about 1758/59 in Rowan/Davie County, North Carolina. Edith PHILPOT1 (daughter of Jacob PHILPOT and Unknown UNKNOWN) was born on April 23, 1740. She died before 1824 in Shelby County, Kentucky.

After Isaac died, Edith married Matthew Busey, ca. 1767, Rowan County, North Carolina. The Holman researchers say that they took the 3 Wilcoxson children to Kentucky. (Virginia Brown)
